Definition
By normalizing , the counter state in the overhead control panel control module (N70) for the position measurement is linked to the effective position of the tilting/sliding roof (SR). Normalization must be performed if the overhead control panel control module (N70) was disconnected from the voltage supply (e.g. by disconnecting the battery, removal/installation of the control module), or a denormalization has taken place. With a non-normalized tilting/sliding roof, the overhead control panel control module (N70) does not know the position in which the roof is located and the direction in which tilting/sliding roof motor (M12/1) has to move to close the tilting/sliding roof. Therefore, normalization is the prerequisite for the close tilting/sliding roof and convenience closing functions. Performing normalization Open the tilting roof using the tilting/sliding roof switch (N70s1) until lock-up of the tilting/sliding roof motor (M12/1), |
press the switch again. The overhead control panel control module (N70) continues to actuate the motor and sets the counter for the position measurement of the tilting/sliding roof to zero when it detects a lock-up of the motor for at least 0.3 sec.
The tilting/sliding roof is now in the normalized state. In other words, the overhead control panel control module (N70) can now switch off the motor when opening the tilting roof before the lock-up position is reached. This state is retained provided denormalization does not occur. Re-normalization Re-normalization takes place after ![]() ![]() |
