GF83.10-P-2102-02B Blower, function

Function
The control voltage is switched to the blower preresistor group (HEAT) or the blower control (Tempmatic A/C, automatic A/C) by the (4-stage) blower switch integrated into the pushbutton control module, switching on the blower. The blower speed is controlled in this manner.

The blower runs only when the ignition switch is in position 2 "circuit 15x".

The blower speed depends on:
the position of the blower switch
the vehicle speed
the engine temperature

The vehicle speed is sensed by the front left speed sensor and the signal travels via the ABS/ASR control module and instrument cluster to the pushbutton control module.

The engine temperature is sensed by the coolant temperature sensor in the pushbutton control module.

Residual engine heat utilization
In the residual engine heat utilization mode the control voltage to the pushbutton control module is switched by the REST button
( ).
