Fresh/recirculated air flap vacuum element, function

Function

When the recirculated air button ( ) on the pushbutton control module (N22) is pressed the switchover valve of the fresh/recirculated air flap in the switchover valve block (Y11/3) is actuated so that vacuum is present at the fresh/recirculated air flap vacuum element (44).
In the recirculated air mode the recirculated air flap is open and the fresh air flap is closed.
In the fresh air mode the fresh air flap is open and the recirculated air flap is closed.
An automatic recirculated air flap position of 80 % or 100 % is possible with automatic A/C depending on the passenger compartment temperature and the outdoor temperature.
