![]() The side airbag is triggered as soon as the associated sensor below the left or right front seat (A53, A54) recognizes a side collision. The sensor first starts a logic check in the ETR control module with airbag (N2/2), then the ETR control module with airbag (N2/2) sends a signal to trip the side airbag to the side airbag squibs (R12/9, R12/10). On vehicles with OSR or ACSR a check is made whether the passenger seat is occupied. If the passenger seat is not occupied or a child seat is not recognized the side airbag on the passenger side is not triggered. |
